Introduction-myself

(0)

Hi, how you doing?

well...I think I should introduce myself again. I'm wa-ta. I am a university student in Japan, senior. In Japan, schools stary from April and end March, so I have one more year at university.

I studied in the US last year as a exchange student. I went to a university in Nashville. That was great experience. To know other culture, my way of thinking and attitude toward other culture became more flexible.

I'm interested in vulnteer work for long time. After I came back to Japan, I went to Nepal as a teacher. That was also great experience. I stayed at local village and know new culture.

Those "challenge" make me consider my future a lot. "What do I want to be?" "What should I do in my future in this world?"

And after came back from Nepal, I started job hunting.

Finally, I got a position as a journalist at one of the biggest TV station in Japan. I will be a journalist from next year.

I think that ,the next few years,  I will work at local area in Japan. That's gonna be awesome experiece. I'm sure about that.

But someday, I want go abroad as ajournalist.

Anyway, thank you for reading to the end. I have to study English again!! Next time I want to write something more interesting topic.....

Diary of Japanese university student

Hi, all

How is going?

I recently hung out with some foreign universtudents to do drinking and sightseeing to give opprtunities to meet Japanese who can not speak English and do not know other culture well.

They came to here learn Japanese, Japanese culture, and stuff like that. But what they are doing is just hung out with other foreigner students or some Japanese who are interested in English or some lungage they speak.

Usually, in Japan, people are not interested in English and can not use it. That's because we do not need to speek English even though we  have learned for some years. And peopel like me who are just interested in English and use it are kinda special. Except for some business such as sightseeing, I think we hardly use English in Japan.

If you come to Japan to learn Japanese  culture as a student, you should try to make friends from not only  people interested in English or other culture, but also people who have no idea about other culture, I mean very Japanese.

This is what I did in US.

I have many friends, even though I had just stayed for ine year. Some American friedns are interested in Japan for some reason not because of me. So they talk to me. At the same time, I thought I should have talk to others who have no idea about Japan.

And what I learned from my experiences is there is slight difference between those people. I exchange my culture with both of them, but I think I got  more new idea and  exchange culture more with people who have no idea.

I believe that situation with people who do not know each other well gives rise to big understanding and good experiences for them.

So, now I try to make opprtunities to meet Japanese who have no idea about other culture, not like me, for the foreigner students. I am sure they can exchange their idea with them more than with people like me. Besides, while they and I are talikng, tt\hey tend to speal English because it is much easier to talk than in Japanese. I think they should use Japanese. That's purpose of their staying here.

So, I expect them to enjoy the chances to exchange culture with peopel who can not use other lugage except for Japanese and do not know other culture.

hi, all.

I recently finishied some tests for qualifications such as English. I spent much time for that. I think I did well on these tests. Anyway all I concern about those is the result. Now I am thinking another qualification test, which is gonna be knowledge anout current events including poloitics, economiucs, and such. Just in case, I am not "qualification freeky" lol To study something always is good thing. Besides, in Japan, if you have some qualifications, they help you with finding good job.

What else I did recently were... I went to fihsshing, fly fishing!! I do lure fishing and some others, but I've never go fly fishing and that was my first time. it was so much fun!! Actually, I wanted to go fly fishing, when I was in US, but I couldn't. I catched some trouts. I should some pics of them but I fogot bringing a camera, so I do not have any pics of them. Next time I will try to do so.

I Japan, we have a lot of beautiful mountains, which had a lot of rivers with trouts and chars, etc.... So we have no problems to find  some places for fishing!! Yea!! I am so excited!! XDXD

Diary from Japan

Hi, all

 How are you?

Recently, I really think about my future a lot. In Japan, many of people tend to think job as their life. In  other words, they always try to find meanings from job, but not vacation. For them, jobs are much more important than vacation. That's one of reasons Japanese are such hard-worker.

Without doubt, I also think in that way. Job will be my life. So, my first choice, which will be decided in one year, is gonna be very important.

Job is life. However, the matter iss How do I want to pass my life? The most important thing  for human is how they live, what is purpose of your life. There are many possible ways I can choice. For example, even though if I think Job is very important, if I want to have family, including kids, I have to make spare time for my family. If so, I have to chose jobs, which has more spare time than others. (It is really difficult to find such jobs becasue many jobs just require too much work here!!).  If I choose a way which makes me very busy but is job that I really want to do. This kind job may not allow me to share with family well because of too much work.

Besides, there are other factos to think about for jobs. If I join company such as trading company, I have to ignore something like child labor to get pay or promotion, even though I think child labor should be prohibited. Although people say something good things such as child labor should be stoppted, they tend to think their life or their family is more important. It is just natural. I am sure about it, but somehow I can not help thinking about such bad aspects of jobs...

There are many things we have to think about when we choose jobs. How did you deceide your job???

hi,

Altough I want to write about internship conference that I went to a couple days ago, it would be take long time to write here. So i will write it later after considering about the conference again.

Yesterday, I met an exchange student from a university in US that I went to as an exchange student. I wanted him to talk to me in Japanese as practice, but he just stayed here for two month. So, we talked in English almost all time.

That was first time to speak in English in person since I got to Japan from US. i could still speak English, even though my English is not so good.

I really enjoyed conversation I had with him. In Japan, even in Tokyo, it is not so easy to meet foreigners on streets. there are almost only Japanese lol So, while we were talking in English on street, some people stared at us. For them, Japanese speaking English are kinda unusual...I guess.

He is great person. I want him to know Japan as much as possible. So, I took him to some my good Japanese friends. And I want to take him to some famous places to visit. Through these experiences, I hope he will learn Japanese culture, society, and people.

To go other country is just great experience. Such experinces give many new perspective and broaden our ideas.

Hi,

now in Japan, classes in many university are canceled becasue of measles. What's matter with Japan!!! i believed our medical service is not that bad... I ,now,do not go to school, though lol

Now I'm preparing for some exams to get qualification..(I hope "qualification" is correct translation.)  If I have some good qualification such as high score on English exam, you can get better job.

In Japan, university students are supposed to start looking for jobs from second semester in junior. Of course, many students show their interests in intership ealier.

Getting jobs is pretty competiteve here, Japan.

I want to post some diary about jobs thing more ansd more in future.

have a good day!

Hi,all. From Japan

How is everything going?

I came back to Japan one week ago from TN. After I finished my second and last semester in US, I went to Las Vegas and Grand Canyon, where I really wanted to go before leaving US.

That was just vacation by my self, and you know, Las Vegas is place for couples and family, so it was kinda weird. But I enjoyed my last trip in US. As long as I think, Las Vegas has US goodness. For example, there are many big and FABULOUS hotels. In Japan, we do have such hotels, but US's hotels in Vegas are more gorgious and huge. It's becasue US has enough spaces to build them and US is more likely to do big things than Japanese. In terms of these diffenrence form Japan, Las Vegas was interested for me.

Anyway, here I am, in Japan. Back to real my life. Thigs here have not change before my leaving to US, 9 month ago. However, I saw the same thing in different way, somehow. This is because I got new points of view, which I could not find without getting out of Japan. It did not matter which country I would stay. The inportant thing is to know other people with different back ground and other culture.   My experience in US was just price-less.

Thanks a lot US!!

P.S. I keep posting diary here form Japan! I appreciate if you give me some comments, but not just lokking. XDXDXD

Spider-man 3 !!! the last movie for me...

(0)

Yesterday, I watched Spider-man 3. I am leaving to Japan so, this movie may become the last movie I watched in the U.S.

The movie was great!!! I have already watched NO.1 &2 of that , of course. Not only the pictures but also story are really good. This movie is not about only Hero. It is also about ordinary people mental conflict. Peter parker is special for his power. But he is a just normal person like us. This condition makes movie very interesting. But,I dont want talk about  details of No.3 here for people who will watch it later XD. For people who do not plant to watch, I recomend them to watch it!!

Now, many students  are leaving to home. Unfortunatelly, many of my friends already left...I think it is really dificult to see them again.  That makes me so sad.  But I asked some to come Japan,,,and I promise them that I will come US for trip or something and to see them again.

I had great time here. It's because of my friends. They helped me. They made me happy. Even though I could not speake English well, they always waited for me what I wanted to say.  I spent great time with them. It is amazing that I am Japanese with poor English but I caould make great friends. If I had not been interested in English, I would have not come here and seen then never. Lerning other language gave us very precious experiences and friends like I hadI here, in US.

I never forget my friends here

....and English, which  I will find damn difficulty to practice in Japan lol

I'm done!!

(2)

Today, I just finishedthe last exam here!! That means my studying life in the U.S was over.

For about 8 months, I has been to a university in the U.S. But it is almost over. I just left one thing to go back to Japan. Time past so fast. I can not belive I will be in Japan in three weeks.

I hope I got my English improved. Of course, although 8 month is not enough to get perfect English, I hope my English is getting better.

Anyway, I will put my diary as many as I can from today.

I appreciated if you give me a comment, suggestion, or question!!

Diary !

A new diary after long absence

(0)

Hey!!! How are you all??

I am pretty good recently. The only bad thing lately is that I have not updated my diary on this blog. But I am not lazy person!! I was just too busy to do so...lol

In the last week, I went to L.A for service. And before the week, I had many exams and papaers. These are the reason I could not updated.

Anyway, I wanted to write about the trip in L.A a little bit.

In my university (of course not in my university), we have some servcive programs in spring break. We have many sites to go. For example, to Mississippi to bulit house, to Washington D.C to help organizaiotn for homelesses etc...

I chose the one, which gives the chance to learn HIV/AIDS in L.A.

The purpose of this project to go to L.A was to participate some organizations which help people with HIV/AIDS mainly. One of the organizations prepares meals for the clients and deliver the meals  to them. We, students joing this project, prepared the meals in the morning and deliverd them in afterenoon for one week.  With another one, which promotes the understanding about HIV/AIDS among general people and help people withe HIV/AIDS, we did some helps and joined events.

Unfortunately, I could not learn about the HIV/AIDS much as I expected. I did learn, but it not enough to explain others with confident, I think. (Even though I think In this way, some people could talk about the issue based on this trip because there are different impression between us from experiences. )

But we had chances to see the life of homeless and people with some difficulties we stayed in a shelter in skid row. Those experiences broadens our perspectives and reminds us of how kucky we are.  There are people who live in such ways. We live in very good environment.....

However, I felt kind of sad because I could not use time efficientlly....that means I could have used more time to learn those kind things because I think we spent too much time with only students but not others who can talk about the issues we are interested in.

Well....anyways, this trip was really awsome for me. I could experience about the service and American students life a lot.

I want to write about the thing I was impressed about American students, if I have a chace someday.

Hi,

It's been a while since the last time I posted.

How are you??

Recently, I have been thinking my speaking English. My friends said in the last semester "your English is much better than before".  That's because I had chances to speake with friends in last semester.

But, in this semseter not only I but also my friends are busy and, I do not opportunity to have a conversation.

Today, I talked with friends (Thlking with friends itself was first time for a while except " HI hello".) . Duling I was talking, I felt my English became worse than one month ago.

Unfortunately, I am sure of that. It is really sad...even though I could have chances for conversations for while, my english dramatically changed.  I wonder once I went back Japan, what whould happen with my English.....

Three month left for my studying abroad. I should do study and, any other things for conversations as well.

wow!!!Today's my diary is so negative lol

Next time, I will wirte down some non-negative stuff! Promise.

Japanese film "Whisper of the heart"

(0)

Hi, how are you??

Today, I want to introduce a Japanese film. This film, "whisper of the heart", is produced by Studio Ghibli which also produced "Caslte in the Sky","My neighbor Totoro" ,"Princess Mononoke" and so forth. Of course,Hayao Miyazaki, the director of these films, is one of member of this studio.

The reason why I introduce it is this film include many details of Japan. For example, the scens in Japan, such as residential streets(very packed!!), trains,...and also Japanese behaviors like bow.

Story its self is good. So, if you are interested or just want to watch....

please enjoy!!!

Diary abt University Education In Japan

(1)

Hi, how are you??

I have been pretty busy recently...Now I am sill reading a book for tomorrow's class. And I need to read another book for tomorrow...but I can not do that. It's already 3:40 in the early morning!!! My class will start from 9:10. I have to sleep, I had a nap today, though.

And I will have two papers for next week. These are really killing me!!!

In Japan, it is really difficult to enter university because of the difficult entrance exams. Many of high school students can not enter the university at once, which they want to go the most. So they go to a cram school to prepare the exams after graduation of high school for one year.

But once students enter universities, they do not usually suffer from assignments because they have only one examination or a few papaers in one term. But in oder to give a credits with those limited resources(assignments), professors make very tough ones. Anyway, except those, Japanese university students are not busy with homeworks. They just hang out with friends and drink alcohol lol. *But students beinng in science major are always busy like here.

In the US, university students are really busy with assignments!!! They(we?) always have a  lot of readings and papers or exams.....   I am freaked out!!!

Anyway....I have to go back study! This diary probably has some troubles to read.... I wrote this in sort time... So, if you find them, please ask me, if you want...

See ya

"Friends" the TV show...

(3)

hi!! How is going your weekend?

Now, I just finished watching "Friends"10th, which is the last season.....

I am really sad\"Cry\" I love this Tv show.

I started to watch this for practice listning Engish from the last April.  I used to borrow   these from video rental shops. I didnt have any DVDs of this.

I spent my birthday here, the US, and one of my friends knowing that I love this show gave me one of DVD boxs of this. After that , somehow, i want to collect every seasons. And now I have 5~10th and finish watching whole story.

I didnt think I was gonna love this tv show like this. But, this has fun and good story. Although it is kinda embarassed to say this, I was move by "Friends", occasionally\"Yell\"

In Japan, some people like "Friends", too. And also some like other American Tv shows  like "24", "Prisonbreak", stuff like that. (I have never wathed the two of them, though.)

Now I have Tv here. So if you have some recomended TV shows, I love to know!!!Especially, I like funny or moving shows....Please let me know!!!!!

Hove a good rest of weekend!!!!!

hi, eveyone!! how are you??

Today is  Thursday, that means almost Friday lol (for me). On Friday, I have only one class, so I dont feel rush for study on Thursday night, which I feel in weekdays.

But Today was a little bit hard....I had three classes and one dance class...

the dance class is kinda tough...today's class is the second time.

My first dance class was ....oh,my god!!!

there is no guy except me! besides I can not speake to others because i was nervous about my English!!I was like "What should I do? What shoud I do????"But once the class started, I really enjoy dance itself.

today, I actually hesitated to go the class or not little bit, but I dont want wast the any chances in the U.S. So, I went.

Through the class, I can learn how active they are. Some of Japanese in same occasion tend to be hesitate to dance in front of people even though they want to dance. Not evey Japanes. But relatively Japanese tend to do that. But in that class almost eveybody are actively to dance!!!

I belive that every experience I have here is valuable. People have the different way of thinkg from Japanes. People here act in different way from Japanese. Experience here gives me another perspective.

Every experience here is precious for me.

Especially, American pizza with coke is amazing.lol

haha~ I am kidding!!

have a nice day, everyone!!!
